So after months and months of waiting - nearly 10 months - we finally bought this place. We knew it was a fixer...but how much of one was still a question at this point.

One of the first days I visited the house (without a thought of buying yet at this point)...

Walking up the steps, immediately I saw issues on the edges of the stairs. Cracks, separation from the house, spider webs...the works. But still not bad at this point...it actually looked promising still - but I could feel the OCD in me not wanting to deal with fixing anything already.

I remember driving up the street and thinking to myself that this is somewhere I could definitely live. Neighborhood was nice and all the houses on the street were unique...something I havent been used to as I lived in "tract home" developments all my life.
